First they came for the smokers, and I said nothing because I enjoy Martha’s Vineyard’s clean beach air.
Then they came for the eaters of French Fries and Hamburgers, and I said nothing because I ate healthy, organic whole foods.
Then they came for plastic shopping bag users, and I said nothing because I wear hemp clothing and bring my own bag to the
grocery store.
Then they came for those who won’t recycle and I said nothing because I compost my food scraps and yard waste.
Then they came for the Bloggers, and I said nothing because I read the New York Times and watched CNN.
Then they came for the Entrepreneurs, and I said nothing because I worked for the State Department.
Then they came for the Religious (but not the Muslims for
that would be intolerant), and I said nothing because I believe in Science.
Then they came for the Republicans, and I said nothing because I vote Democrat.
And then they came for me.
And I went willingly.
Because that is what they told me to do..
