NBC's new
Knight Rider, is described by the show's creators as a sequel to the original Knight Rider series, rather than a remake. Unfortunately the new KITT isn't fast enough to escape Hollywood's knee-jerk, reactionary Leftism.
KITT's new driver is a former Army Ranger working with the FBI. The bad guys however is a bunch of out of control mercenaries working for whoever will pay the bills. If their client is Middle Eastern country looking to start a war, then so be it. The name of the evil mercenary organization is ... wait .. for ... it ... "Black River".
Ouch ... I think I just sprained my eye sockets from excessive eyeball rolling.
These so called artists threw in a shot at
Blackwater USA and by so doing threw me completely out of their story, which up to that point really wasn't all that bad.
It is the rare television show or movie that doesn't include some kind of sucker punch at those of us who think the men and women who choose to work with the American military, even as civilian contractors, are brave and honorable souls.
If this is the best the new Knight Rider is going to get, I suspect this show will have a short shelf life.
